From the Alps to the Provence
The geological nature reserve of Haute Provence, set between the Alps and the Haute Provence, is the biggest nature reserve of Europe. It stretches over more than 2300 km² and practically 60 towns. The extraordinary and varied landscapes offer a breathtaking view. The reserve was made to have a better understanding of this preserved land and offers a true open air-museum that you can discover along the signposted hiking tracks or during a visit to the musée Promenade in Digne that decrypts the region’s geology.
